As most of you know, we rescued the other 16 3 weeks ago. The state told us they were going to auction off the horses we rescued from being abandoned and starved this weekend. We were sickened at how they could take these guys that need medical, and food, and sell them to the highest bidder. That could mean killers that would send them to Mexico for slaughter. They were abandoned, and starved. They didn’t cause harm to anyone, and they did nothing wrong. Today we fought it, and won the right for the horses to stay here with HEART and get food, and medical treatment so that they can forward out into new homes where they are wanted and finally loved. Horses at least should have the same rights as other animals. We have opened a door now that has never been opened before for this beautiful animal. Lets please keep going. If you can help the Marana 16 please donate, we have to show that the public does really care about horses and they deserve a chance. We have to show the state. This baby from there did not die in vein. He save 18 more from his herd. We have to believe in that.

Dante and Curtis adopted !!!
We are so happy to say that Dante, and Curtis were adopted last week. The new owners are perfect for those two boys. Dante will go on to do dressage, which he loves, and Curtis will be loved by a boy that knows how to treat horses. Joey and his mother Stacey were the perfect matches for these guys. It was real hard to let Dante go, I wanted to adopt him myself but being a good rescue, you have to know when to let go. Congrats Stacey, and Joey. I can sleep well knowing the boys are with you guys.
